The Center for Galactic Anomalies
So you’re not worried about anomalies?

So you’re not worried about anomalies?

Amelia Earhart. Mary Celeste. The Zodiac Killer. The O.J. Simpson trials.

These and more were some of the anomalies we didn’t prevent in time on your planet. Are we ashamed? Only kinda. To be fair, your planet is really hard to reach, and the technology that has made it more efficient was only patented in the last decade. So yeah, we were liable to miss a major anomaly or two every century.

Now, we CAN stop them 99% of the time. “What about the 1%?” you ask. Well, those are the times when there’s a glitch in the system, a crack in the foundation, and maybe a large scale conspiracy… I’m getting ahead of myself with that last one.

But this time is different. There is at least one person who cares about the anomaly enough to keep investigating: me, your CGA-Earth liaison. And yes, it’s about the books, OK? And here’s why you should care about the anomalous books. If what is in them is going to happen in the future, here’s a breakdown of what could happen to Earth using GIFs, since you all love those so much.

I know you already perceive your planet as this:

But at least you have the sanity to recognize that there is a problem and the mental freedom to choose to ignore it. With the kind of anomalous apocalypse that is potentially coming, it’s gonna look a lot more like this:

Just all you beautiful humans crowding each other out to jump into a hole because something is telling you to. What will that something be?

It could look like something you use every day.

It could take the form of a disease.

It could be a new portal opening up in your solar system, which could let out all kinds of things.

Or it could cause a mundane-sounding, extinction-level event like causing a gravitational shift that sends your moon crashing into your planet.

Or it could be the classic tentacle and eye type horror that you all use so much in your modern mythos.

But really, I don’t know what will happen to your planet if we don’t investigate the books. Earth hasn’t been specifically mentioned in them. There are several other horrors described on other planets of greater galactic significance, but never does it talk about yours. And isn’t that kind of the scariest thing of all?

The unknown?
